We recently purchased a window covering for our front picture window. The representative Donna Schrader, helped to select a covering that is totally awsome. It fit the decor of our living room to a T, and is very appealing in looks from the curb. She did a wonderful job of selecting a product beyond what we had in mind. Donna Schrader is not my friend. She is not family. I ordered Hunter Douglas® window coverings many years ago and just looked on line and found her business and called her to pick out window coverings for my kitchen. I called her again to pick window coverings for my living room. She first helped me with the details and if asked she gave me her opinion. She measured with perfect accuracy. She is very professional, gave me accurate time lines and was prompt to come when she said she would. She was a breath of fresh air. When we had any complications she would take care of every detail. We recently moved into a home that had nearly floor to ceiling windows across the entire back and front of the house, so we quickly set appointments with a few groups to get quotes for window coverings. Donna, with Ambiance Window Coverings, happened to be our first meeting, and once I met her I canceled the other appointments. She showed up on time, listened to what I wanted, was very well-informed about her products & options, and within minutes had recommended the perfect solution for our home. I ordered our back window coverings (the designer roller shades) from her on the spot, and even with the Covid delays with manufacturing, they were installed within a couple of weeks. At that point we also decided to move forward with the front windows, and for those went with the wood shutters. Both treatments are made by Hunter Douglas®, with a great warranty should we need it, and have perfected our home to make it ours. It’s bright and open during the day, and cozy and private if we want or at night. Aside from beautiful, very high quality products, Donna and her two installers were incredible to work with. I can’t recommend this business enough; we were pleased from start to finish, and with every detail in between. I wish all home update projects were this easy!

This review is written 1.5 yrs after the service. When building our new home my wife tasked me with getting window blinds installed. She wanted me to get a quote from Budget Blinds based on a recommendation of a co-worker. I called Budget Blinds a total of 5 times over the course of 1 month and never got to speak to a person. I always got an answering machine. I have a pet-peeve when it comes to having to play a cat-mouse game when trying to give someone business. Tip to Budget Blinds, hire someone to answer phones or hire more people. Out of frustration I decided to do a quick Google Maps search and gave Ambiance Window Covers a call. First call, I was able to speak with Donna (I think? Sorry, its been over a year). Donna was driving to a job site when i called her and she pulled over to get my information. During her consultation visit she actually talked me out of getting expensive curtain blinds we "thought" we wanted and recommended some Hunter Douglas® blinds. She scheduled the installation on the same day as our move in, which was great. We had concerns about leaving all of our furniture/electronics in a home without window covering.Donna and her install guy did the job in about 1-2 hours with great results. We love our window blinds. I really appreciated Donna's professionalism but most of all I appreciated the price. My wife's co-worker who used Budget Blinds had less/smaller windows then our home but we ended up playing less.My only complaint would be the installation of the covers that go over the pulley system on our door side window blinds. When someone opens the door too wide the left cover falls off all the time and it's scratching the paint on our door. I am sure it will eventually break from the repeated hits to the ground.I will likely contact Donna again to do 3 other windows in our home. We couldn't have had a better experience, from making selections to a timely and smooth installation. Donna is wonderful to work with!! As first time home owners selecting window coverings for the entire house was a daunting task. Donna took away the stress with her knowledge and recommendations. I was very hesitant about ruining the look of our windows with poor coverings; Donna delivered with a beautiful, streamlined, clean look that fits the tone of the home and doesn't take away from anything. Donna was awesome!! I had previously worked with another designer that left me very unhappy with my windows. She was able to redo my existing window treatments plus add to them. This not only saved me money but I now love the windows. She delivered the product fast and was there when the installer hung them to make sure I was satisfied. The installer was also great. Donna totally is amazing. Not only did she listen to my needs for both privacy and light in the sidelight window by my front door, she found the perfect solution. A top down bottom up roman shade that allows the light to enter through the top but provides the privacy I want from people standing on the porch to see in. Just had my patio door covering installed by Ambiance today. The whole process from the very beginning of inquiring about quote, in house consultation and all the way to the installation was very smooth, just like the treatment they put up on the door, flows seamlessly into my house. Donna was very easy to work with. She was very perceptive and professional. Her timing on arrival and hanging blinds was always prompt. I am a rather indecisive person when it comes to decorating! She helped me make the perfect decision on two projects. One was a specially insulated 'accordian-like' cover for my patio windows. Being ecologically correct, I also received a tax deduction! This blind has made a major difference in this living space: a decrease in heating and privacy, too! The other projects were blinds for the living room and a bedroom with Silhouettes. I am pleased with all the decisions Donna helped me make. I will certainly call her again, if needed.
